Welcome To Renewable Visions
Renewing The Future
About Us
The purpose of a renewable energy research and development institute is to advance the development and utilization of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and bioenergy. These institutes play a crucial role in addressing the challenges associated with transitioning to a sustainable and low-carbon energy system.
Solar
The amount of sunlight that strikes the earth’s surface in an hour and a half is enough to handle the entire world’s energy consumption for a full year. Solar technologies convert sunlight into electrical energy either through photovoltaic (PV) panels or through mirrors that concentrate solar radiation. This energy can be used to generate electricity or be stored in batteries or thermal storage.
Wind
Wind power is a clean and renewable energy source. Wind turbines harness energy from the wind (How do Wind Turbins Work?) using mechanical power to spin a generator and create electricity. Not only is wind an abundant and inexhaustible resource, but it also provides electricity without burning any fuel or polluting the air. Wind energy in the United States helps avoid 336 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually equivalent to the emissions from 73 million cars.
Geothermal
Geothermal The presence of hot rocks, fluid, and permeability underground creates natural geothermal systems. Small underground pathways, such as fractures, conduct fluids through the hot rocks. In geothermal electricity generation, this fluid can be drawn as energy in the form of heat through wells to the earth’s surface. At the surface, that energy is converted to steam, which drives turbines that produce electricity.
Hydropower
Hydropower, or hydroelectric power, is one of the oldest and largest sources of renewable energy, which uses the natural flow of moving water to generate electricity. Hydropower currently accounts for 28.7% of total U.S. renewable electricity generation and about 6.2% of total U.S. electricity generation. hydropower facilities come in all sizes. Some may be very large, but they can be tiny, too, taking advantage of water flows in municipal water facilities or irrigation ditches. They can even be “damless,” with diversions or run-of-river facilities that channel part of a stream through a powerho use before the water rejoins the main river.
Bioenergy
Bioenergy or Biopower technologies convert renewable biomass fuels into heat and electricity using processes like those used with fossil fuels. There are three ways to harvest the energy stored in biomass to produce biopower: burning, bacterial decay, and conversion to a gas or liquid fuel. Biopower can offset the need for carbon fuels burned in power plants, thus lowering the carbon intensity of electricity generation. Unlike some forms of intermittent renewable energy, biopower can increase the flexibility of electricity generation and enhance the reliability of the electric grid.
Our Mission
Our goal is to spearhead our renewable visions research and development project in Omaha Nebraska, so we can be the United States leading producer of renewable energies within the next decade. This will create more jobs , more energy efficient industries, homes and businesses. Omaha, Nebraska will transform into an Energy Economy and will be the most Energy Efficient city/state in the country.
Why Choose Us
One of the primary purposes of such an institute is to conduct research and development to improve existing renewable energy technologies and to innovate new solutions. This includes improving the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of renewable energy systems.
The development of renewable energy technologies can act as a driver for economic growth and the creation of new jobs, particularly in the green technology sector. This includes manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of renewable energy systems.
Mitigating Climate Change
Renewable energy is a critical component in the effort to mitigate climate change. By reducing greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy can help address the impacts of climate change and contribute to a more sustainable future.
These institutes often conduct research that can inform and guide policymakers in making decisions related to energy and environmental policies. By providing data-driven insights, they can help shape supportive policies for renewable energy deployment.
